Friendship Adventure Fantasy

“Come here, you have got to see this.”

“Ew, what is that?”

“Beats me, but I kind of want to touch it.”

“You're so weird, it looks disgusting. I think I'll stay as far away from this thing as I can.”

“Oh come on. Don't be boring.”

“I'm not boring, you're just crazy and I'm normal.”

“What if we touch it together really fast? I mean, what could possibly happen?”

“I could feel gross and hate you forever.”

“Okay drama queen. Just do it.”

“Fine, but this doesn't mean I'm going to like it.”

“Never said you had to.”

“Okay, whew, I can do this.”

“On the count of three. Ready, one, two, three.”

“AHHH! EWW!”

“OH MY GOSH! Where are we?”

“I don't know and I don't care. The real question is how do we get out of here?”

“I’m not sure,”

“I can’t believe this is happening. It’s like something out of a nightmare.”

“It’s not that bad, is it?”

“Yes Linda. It is in fact that bad. Now find us a way to get out of this place.”

“Well, touching this thing is what brought us here in the first place. Maybe if we touch it again it will bring us home.”

“Wait, I'm going to have to go through that unbelievably horrible experience AGAIN!”

“Yeah. Sorry.”

“I’m counting on you to be right about this, so you better hope this brings us back home.”

“I do.”

“I’m counting on you, which maybe I shouldn’t, considering we wouldn't be in this situation if you hadn't made us touch it in the first place.”

“You mean you wouldn't be in the situation. I was planning on touching it either way. Honestly, I might be a little happy you did it with me so I don't have to be here by myself.”

“Great, so I have to suffer for your stupid decision.”

“Yep!”

“Take that grin off your face right now. I'm still mad at you and we’re still in an unknown place with this unknown creature.”

“Yeah, whatever. On three we touch it again. One, two, three.”

“Are you kidding me, We're still here?!”

“Well now this is just getting annoying.”

“Why would these things exist to teleport people here and then just not bring them back. That's a serious design flaw.”

“That's the least of our worries.”

“What do you mean?”

“The thing that brought us here just grew teeth, and it looks hungry.”

“Oh no, there's more coming! Are you kidding me? Oh please, please, I just want to go home.”

“Maybe it's all like a hunting tactic for them. Teleport people away from the comfort of their homes and trap them here, like a fly caught in a spider's web.”

“What if I don't want to be dinner for some stupid creature.”

“Well actually, they're pretty smart. The whole trapping thing is a great way to get food.”

“YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!”

“Yeah, sorry again.”

“You're going to be more than sorry when I get my hands on you after we get out of here.”

“If we get out of here. They're starting to surround us.”

“What if we just start running, like really super fast.”

“And try and stomp on as many as we can on the way out.”

“Exactly my thoughts.”

“Then let's go right now before they get too close.”

“I forgot how much I hate running!”

“Me too! I think adrenaline is the only thing keeping me going right now.”

“Same.”

“Why are they still so close to us? They look like they're going two feet per hour, yet somehow they're all still hot on our trail.”

“And I'm getting tired of running. It's been almost an hour already, I have to slow down.”

“NO! You can't, they'll catch up to you.”

“I know, but physically I cannot keep this up. You want to know the last time I ran more than a mile or two?”

“When?”

“NEVER!!!”

“If you stopped talking and yelling so much you might not be this exhausted.”

“Whatever. I just can't anymore. I'm done.”

“What are you doing? Are you crazy, don't stop!”

“No, you don't stop. Find a way out of here. I'm sorry for saying I hated you and wanted to kill you.”

“I don't remember you saying that last part.”

“Hmm, maybe that one was just said in my head. But anyway, go. I don't have the endurance to keep this up like you do.”

“Please Stacy, come on. One is starting up your leg.”

“I know.”

“ I don't want to leave you, this was all my fault anyway. If anyone should get taken by these things it's me not you.”

“It doesn't matter anymore. And it's not your fault. Maybe you pressured me a little bit, but I always could've refused and walked away.”

“No, this can't be happening.”

“Find a way out, for the both of us. I'm sorry, don't forget me.”

“I never will, I promise.”

“Okay come on you got this, just keep on running, keep on running.”

“Is that a door? Oh thank the Lord.”

“Oh my gosh! My carpet! I've never been so happy to see you.”

“And Stacy, I can't believe you're really gone.”

“Linda! Where are you? LINDA!”

“Mom! I'm up here!”

“Oh sweetie, why are you crying, is everything okay?”

“Stacy’s gone. She's gone.”

“What are you talking about? She's right downstairs waiting for you.”

“Huh?”

“She told me you said you came up here to find a book twenty minutes ago and hadn't come back down since. I just came looking for you.”

“Wait. So you're telling me she's okay, as in actually alive and breathing.”

“Yes, I suppose.”

“This is the best news ever!”

“Are you sure you're okay sweetie?”

“Mom, I'm better than okay. I am absolutely amazing.”

“That's great honey. Why don't you go on down to Stacy.”

“Yes, yes. Okay.”

“Don't forget your book. Linda! Don't forget your book!”

“Right, sorry mom. Thanks.”

“Of course.”

“Stacy, Stacy, you're okay!”

“Dear lord. I have to get her checked out. She has got to be on something.”
