Cadia Love

In the little town of Cadia, where everyone was happy and nice. There was the nice and simple Bloom family with their daughter named Nolani Bloom and her best friend Amelia Loughty. There also was the popular and rich family called the Crues. They had a son named Brennan and he grew up to be a rebel and a jock at Cadia High. By the way, Nolani goes there! 

Just a regular day in high school history class but is it normal? Nolani and Amelia enter the class and take a seat right next to each other while they hear a “pssst” sound coming from behind Nolani. The classmate hands her a note that says “From Brennan to Nolani on it.” She opens the note and it says to meet at the gazebo in the park after school. She looks up and smiles. She thinks to herself “is this really it?” Am I noticed now? She was thinking about the note the rest of the day. She finally tells Amelia and she is super excited.

“Are you kidding! This has never happened before! I’m so excited for you!” said Amelia.

“I know right.” Shouted Nolani.

They start jumping up and down when finally it’s time to meet to see what he wants. Nolani enters the gazebo kind of shocked. He was just standing there waiting and when she arrived he had a big smile on his face.

“I would really like to get to know you a little better because I fancy you.” said Brennan.

Nolani was shocked because she never experienced this before and she didn’t know what to say. 

“Sure, I would love too.” said Nolani. “Let’s sit and chat.” said Brennan.

They sit and chat for hours until it’s sunset. Brennan walks Nolani home and they wave goodbye. He walks away almost skipping and Nolani turns around and hesitates and just laughs. She walks straight up to her bedroom just to tell Amelia how things went. They talked for an hour or so about the whole day. Amelia was stoked for Nolani. Nolani says goodbye and goes to sleep dreaming about what tomorrow is going to look like.

Nolani is getting ready for school, trying to look her best. She starts heading to school when she gets this text from Amelia saying she wouldn’t be at school today because she had an appointment. So she walks into the school a little moody but Brennan swoops in and pulls her to the side of the hallway to ask if they could talk. They walk to Nolani’s locker and he asks, “How did you feel about yesterday?” 

“It was really nice and I enjoyed talking to someone.” said Nolani.

He did his skip thing and asked if he could walk her to class. She accepted and they walked to class and sat down next to each other. They couldn’t keep their eyes off of each other the whole entire class. She gets a text from Amelia saying “Hey there is a party tonight, you want to come?"

“I’d love that, let’s go!” texted Nolani.

She asks Brennan if he was going he said yes and I would also love to see you there. 

“I’m definitely going and I’m bringing Amelia, I can pick you up?” said Nolani.

“No, I’m going to drive you guys, it’s the least I can do.” said Brennan 

“Okay, I appreciate it, thank you so much.” said Nolani.

When she arrives at home she immediately calls Amelia and they pick out a swimsuit that will blow everyone away. They were super excited that they were going to the party.

Hours later……………..

Amelia is at Nolani’s house and they hear a beep outside. They get all their stuff and run outside. They hop in the car and they’re off to the party. Brennan smiles at her and Amelia notices something is going on. When they arrive Brennan wonders off to talk to someone while Amelia and Nolani hold back. 

“Is there something going on?” asked Amelia

“I feel something for him but I want to see where he’s at first.” said Nolani.

“He’s totally into you! He wouldn’t stop smiling at you in the car.” said Amelia

They both chuckle and go meet up with Brennan and they swim for the rest of the night. When suddenly Amelia leaves and they get a moment alone. They start staring at each other and start laughing and then suddenly have their first kiss. Then he says “I really like you Nolani. Your just super fun to be around and I enjoy that about you. Your personality your everything.” She takes him in for an even bigger kiss. 

Summer is finally here, I’ve been hanging out with him for the school year and we’ve been dating for 8 months. College is just around the corner and we’ve got to start filling in out applications. I applied for Princeton University. I have a legacy there. My parents, my grandparents, my great grandparents, my aunts and uncles, even my older cousin. I feel like I have to apply and try. Brennan told me he was applying to Dartmouth. I don’t think I could ever do long distance but it’s always worth a try. Of course we still have the summer of our lives to live.

After the summer of their lives going to concerts, fairs, hanging out at each other’s houses. It was time. Might be the best news in our entire lives. Did we get into the colleges we want to? She opens the letter from Princeton. “Mrs.Bloom you’ve been accepted to Princeton University!” I started freaking out and suddenly got a text from Brennan saying he got into Dartmouth! But she realized it was going to be long distance and started to worry. 

He came over today. We got into this big fight and broke up. I guess I should’ve worried about it. This truly impacted our relationship and after all. He never texted or called. I wondered if he even cared about me. Was it ever really true love?
