Christian Creative Nonfiction Teens & Young Adult

O.k.

Let’s first admit.

We, at this beautiful, snow capped time of year.

Don’t want to be cold.

Don’t care to be cold.

Cold and clammy……..

The brrrrrrrrrr….kind of existence that does not alone come from the atmospheric temperature. The days are shorter. The light is, too.

We slumber either quickly or slower into slumberland depending upon who holds the keys.

Caughtcha.

Diving over to your new ikea age night stand just to make certain your light was still on…🎲💡💡⌛️⏳

Why not ask yourself, first, if your light is still on. Completely understandable the doubts and all…..

I get it.

But I don’t accept it as the norm. Because as much as we think we have control.

We do not.

He does.

He, at this moment, beginning this weekend, is sending his son for us.

Better sit up straight.

Cross your arms.

Feet flat in the ground.

Put our thinking caps on (Cherl).

And. Get to work.

Yea. Sharing is caring.

There are levels of it worth dissection.

Like the frog in 8th grade science class.

The frog gave his life to science.

Thank you froggy. Because of you, I do not have to be frosty.

In the meantime.

We, as humans, are given the opportunity to dissect that which is right in front of our eyes.

As life goes:

You win some.

You lose some.

At this very moment, you are winning some and losing some.

It is the small battles that add up to success.

Sharing is caring.

Real sharing is real caring.

Brrrrrrrrrr.

May be what others are wishing for you.

Not me.

With a brother there is a warmth that is seldom ever spoken.

My apologies, in the old world of delusion contrasting theology, brothers mean sister, too.

Without transition necessary.

It may seem counter intuitive.

Confusing.

And down right refusal to believe.

But. We are here. And here we remain.

Step up and stick up for those in our community.

God requires it if us, constitutionally and citizen-ry.

Make little difference how one gets to this point.

Really.

We all have a gagillion things on our minds, to do, to take care of.

The moment is the messenger.

Trust is of paramount necessity.

Not. Because you came from there.

Or. I came from here.

Because in His eyes.

You do.

You just do.

There is no manual.

There is no real rule book.

(Not speaking of the Bible)

Yet.

For some.

For many.

There IS a rule book.

(Now, speaking of the Bible)

How we get to where we are is a testament to knowing he walks along side us in the darkest and yes, coldest, of moments.

He comes in many ways, shapes and form and creatures.

And.

He waits.

For us.

To envelope another into their existence.

STOP.

WAIT A MINUTE?

THIS IS NOT SIMPLE, SLAM DUNK STUFF.

The money grab is called a money grab for a reason.

Once an entity gets their grip on it, or you.

Fasten your seatbelt.

To be truly devoted to others is a gift that keeps on giving.

THE GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING.

Seeing is believing.

Did you know: Dogs have poor vision up close, good vision at a distance.

How frickin’ beautiful.

(Disclaimer: cats are beautiful creatures in God’s eyes.)

In the interest of depth….depth perception.Dogs again have no rival. Most dogs cannot focus on objects closer than about 25cm, but they are so good at detecting movement that an object may go unnoticed until it moves. (hnw)

Dogs see well at dusk.

Dogs chew because they like it.

Case closed.

They feed off of our anxiety at trying to get it all “right.”

They react, because we act. On our specific tendencies in the moment.

We WANT them to like us because with them it is

Black or white.

Actually not entirely accurate.

Really it is green and blue.

Nonetheless, as faithful friends to one another—we watch out for one another.

The dog’s sight is based on the needs of a predator.

Eek.

A visual field with a relatively large amount of binocular vision, plus an additional monocular field for each eye, giving a goal vision field of 240 and 290 degrees.(hnw)

Humans have 180.

Whats the point.

What do you see.

When you look out on the horizon.

Out on the landscape of you life.

Of another’s life

Sharing is caring.

Not exactly the media kind.

Because, there is too much allowed to be left to interpretation.

Sharing is sharing.

If performed with the best of intentions.

Caughtcha if you said,

Hey, what does “performed” mean.

Exactly.

Simply going through the motions is just that.

We owe more to each other, one another to NOT do this.

We do not all have to get along all the time.

But.

Life is less cold. Less dark. When we allow the light to shine on someone other than ourself, ourselves.

What fun is that, anyway.

None.

At all.

Majestic lions know courage.

They have already, “been there.” Trained by their environment.

The opportunity of learning to walk side by side along a dog is more than training.

It is a commitment.

To care for a day. To care for a week. To care for a month. Etcetera.

The sharing is the caring. There is very little wrong in the world of this right.

Doesn’t mean the last dog soldier isn’t waiting, and waiting, and waiting…..

But the wait is worth its weight in gold at the end of the journey.

Did I mention. Dogs do not know time.

They give us their endless time, and in the reciprocal, we had better give the best of ourselves—back to them. And all creatures.

Truly devoted.

Growing.

Growing older, too.

Which by God’s grace, we are allowed.

He sent His son Jesus to tell us we are the salt of the earth. You are the light of the world. When you’re wondering if you fit in, to this thing called life, wondering if anyone cares about you, or wondering if you’re making a difference, don’t look to the people around you for satisfaction.(hnw)

Look to the One who really cares about you.

God.

He will remind you that you count. And you are a part of His family.

Growing older means detaching from the past. Attaching to the present and future. Choosing life now and choosing a future that will last for eternity.

With Him. Not him.
