Were we all to live in a state of euphoria, what might life looks like? Would we all be floating around the sky, smiling at one another, exchanging glances of regard and neighborly waves?

Magical.

Logical.

Practical.

Mathematical.

Where might this mystical place be…..Here. There. Everywhere.

In our minds?

In our hearts?

In our souls?

Our consciousnesses sometimes take a back seat to our sub consciousnesses…..Or maybe…..it is the other way around.

Or is it called shot gun. A place to sit, in front of another.

Let’s start with the mind. While we float along…..

Julian Jaynes proposed we learn and act by use of the bicameral mind; we temporarily access it of ourselves depending on what is going on. At times, the authoritarian part of the mind seems to literally speak to us as if a separate head, external voice. (wk)

Jaynes posits that the gods heard as voices in the head were and are organizations of the central nervous s system.

Sounds rather rational. Logical possible. Hearing voices.Where do they come from?

God speaking through man is a more recent vestige of God speaking to man; the product of more integrated higher self.

Now we are floating around something I can understand.

A single flash of insight can a beautiful life make!

Quite a revelation.

To know truth and then act upon it. In the most God-like and gracious ways.

When lightning strikes, it would behoove us to all be ready. With a steady hand and an open heart.

Joseph Chilton Pearce sited the beautiful storm as the earth asking a question and the sky answering it.

Now we are floating around somewhere I can understand.

Yet another mind explorer posits:

One point to remember is that the probability of an event changes as soon as a prophecy or divination exists. The accuracy or outcome of any prophecy is altered by the desires and attachments of the seer and those who hear the prophecy (Bill Whitcomb)

Desires.

Attachments.

Wants.

Needs.

When it comes right down to it.

The only thing left to do.

Ask ourselves.

To understand another is to understand forgiveness.Generosity is love with out measure (pf). I don’t know about you, but I cannot think of any creature, human or otherwise that would not benefit from a generous heart. An open heart. A giving heart.

Love without measure. Slays the dragon for sure. For better. For worse.

For better.

The good news.

God does not calculate our merits.

He is action—Divine Action.🙏🏻 Driven.

His works are simple. Inclusive.

  1. God goes out at all hours to call us.
  2. He repays with the same coin.

The first and last, receive the same. From Him.

Whether we think it to be fair or not makes no difference. God takes the initiative to steer us in the right direction We had best answer His call, any hour, any day. He searches for us all hours of the day.

He finds us.

We cannot hide.

Every season of our life up to old age.

Seeking us out.

His repayment is love.

Why?

God’s justice is superior.(pf)

God does not measure love on the scale of our performance and failures. He is unconditional and gratuitous. Relationships are the fabric of society. (pf) How we choose to reap and sow. Serious business.

This does not mean we are allowed to sit back and put our feet up and relax. Quite the opposite. We can affect another’s life in ways big and small.

There is no such thing as a small act of kindness.

Getting caught in the trap of calculations is just that.

A trap. The dragon knows this. And gets stuck quite often. Kinda a thinking loop of distraught desperation. And it is unnecessary. Because it is so much easier to extend our hands in grace.

The best way?

Earn it.

God goes out tirelessly all day, every day.

He does not test us before seeking us.

Bad habits die hard.

We all have improvements in ourselves that we can make. We all have something about ourselves we can “tweak”.

Today.

Tomorrow.

Yesterday.

Next week.

Pick one?

Pick one.

Which one.

How ‘bout starting right now.

Let it go.

The angry dragon is just running in circles. Around the unspoken truths of his lack of effort in changing the narrative of his own life. Thinking he is owed this to that. Calculating his life on the dollars and denarius of coins.

Let’s just flip it. The coin?

No. The story.

Failure is the lesson of what to do better. What not to do that has not been working all along. No one really knows what the future holds. Except Him.

One thing is for certain.

God holds you in the palm of His hand.

He seeks you out to be kind not just to the dragon, but to anyone, especially our so called enemies.

He is on call all hours of the day.

Our souls depend on it.

On His call.

Our minds will make attempts to talk us out of things.

Our hearts break and need repair when we are hurt and scared.

Our souls will pick up the slack of all our failings if we listen and hear His call.

He gives us little hints every minute of every day. We may be so busy we do not stop and listen.

Provocative.

Precarious

Prophetic.

Pick one?

Pick one.

Which one.

Be generous ever more

Understand forgiveness.

Practice what He preaches.

One can never go wrong.

The story and its ending has yet to be written. Any of our stories. We have the power to change it at any time if we seek His guidance. However, it does nothing unless we call ourselves into action. To change for better.

The action of loving our neighbor as ourselves.

Generosity.

No prejudice.

The Golden Rule.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Definitely a gold coin worth passing along to others.
