Felicity Nymphadora Pathis smiled and looked up from the comic before capping the black marker. She had been looking forward to this prank for days and Kai had finally managed to distract Jay long enough for her to do it. Felicity, or known as ‘City, was always doing this, and her boyfriend Cole, as well as everyone else, found it hilarious when Jay found out. He really freaked. Then again, he was always very high strung. Placing the comic back, she ran a hand through her wild untamed red curly hair. (Think Merida from Brave) Gaming noises could be heard from the hallway as she cautiously crept down the hallway. If she got caught walking away from the boys dorm, she’d have more to explain then her backstory. Her father Neuro had passed his power of mind, but instead of reading minds, City could see the past, present and future. Often she had it turned off, as it gave her awful migraines. None of the boys knew about her past, only her power. Only the girls knew it and Wu.
The prank was genius, if she did say so herself. Jay would never see it coming. Voices could be heard more distinctively as she strolled into the living room. “No fair, Kai! You took the best power up!” Whining began to enter Jay‘s tone as Kai and Lloyd began to team up and destroy him. Cole laughed from his seat next to Kai, who smirked. “And you took my best sister, so I’ll call it fair, Zap trap.”
Nya, who was leaving the room, sighed. “I’m your only (almost wrote Oni XD) sister, Kai.” City laughed as Jay sulked. “Jay, if you can’t beat these guys, you cannot beat the master.” She struck a dramatic pose and Cole called from his spot, “Yeah, me.” The boys oohed and City stuck her tongue out and flopped on the couch. “Yeah, yeah.” She causally and silently highfived Cole with a slight nod of her head. He smirked and nodded to Kai, who started coughing in order to cover his laughter, giving Lloyd the first place. The game was quickly over as Jay took last place, mostly because Nya walked back in the room, followed by Kai, who was beaten by Lloyd in a tie breaker round. Lloyd smirked at Kai. “I guess looks are everything, huh Hairgel?” Kai rolled his eyes and started a new round. “You and me, Garmadon. Winner gets free... from dinner duty!” The round was started and Jay went to go get his phone. Only a few minutes of silence apart from the game sounds and the boys taunting each other went by before a shrieking, unearthly sound rang in all their ears. Jay came thundering down the hall, (pun intended) red in the face. “CITY!” The culprit dashed for the door leading to the closet, trailing swears as she went. “That’s my cue! If he asks, I’m not here.” The boys let out a laugh, and resumed playing. Zane, who was playing chess with PIXAL, looked up. “What did City do this time?” The boys, ignoring Zane’s question and Jay’s frantic and blind with rage expression, continued to play until the victor remained.
Let’s just say they both were crushed by anonymous player with name of DragonfangTwin2. Oddly enough, there was laugher from the girls dorm. Eva (my sister’s Oc) practically emerged dancing, and laughing. Skylor and Nya followed, blasting ‘We are the Champions.’ with the biggest speakers they could find. They almost drowned out the music with their laughter. The parade lasted for a solid ten minutes, before Kai clued in. “That was you?! I demand a rematch!” Eva smirked. “Let me think about that...” She then proceeded to give the appearance of being deep in thought, before snapping, “Nah, I don’t think I will. Now, you both owe me dinner duty, so that’s Kai tomorrow and Lloyd in about a week.” The banter continued until Jay left to mourn the death of his comics, and City freed herself from the closet. “Finally!” She stretched. “I thought I was going to die in there! It stinks worse than Cole’s chili!”
After ten eternities (ten minutes) of convincing, the duo finally agreed to dinner duty. The girls retreated to the sanctuary of their dormitory, still replaying the video on Skylor’s phone. “The music was a nice touch.”
That set them off again and they broke into the snacks hidden inside a box. Eva wiped her eyes, “What did you do to Jay this time? Glue on his toothbrush?” City shook her head. “Naw, did that last time. I ’fixed’ his comics. Speaking of which, I need a new marker.” After they calmed down, Nya cocked an eyebrow. “Why didn’t you just ask Riker for a getaway?” City and Eva responded at the same time. “He’s away on ‘holiday’.” City continued. “His way of saying he’s sick of his sister.” Eva held a hand to her heart and gasped. “My heart! I’m wounded, we’re no longer friends!” Nya, when she ways able to talk, spit out, “The truth hurts, doesn't’ it?” City resumed her sentence. “Besides, he started to make a price for quick getaways. He claims his teleportation powers are ‘in need of money’. More like his wallet is. Speaking of wallets, mine is starting to feel a little light. That twin of yours is bleeding me dry.” Eva shrugged. The group laughed as Skylor played the video again. “Now, who to prank next? Guys, any ideas?” The girls giggled as they plotted their next move.
The rest of the day was pretty low key, and by noon the only unhappy person was Jay. Jay’s mopey and triggered attitude lasted the rest of the day, which made training interesting, and the only thing that lasted longer was the moustaches, goatees, and glasses on all his superhero comics.
