Author bio

Published author and poet at Tinkelei, Ka-Yan entered the world of writing because of The Owl and the Pussy-Cat, when she sailed away on their pea-green boat for less than a fiver and was forever entranced by the world of words and rhyme. A cultural nomad, she loves painting worlds in a language that wasn't supposed to be hers at all. Yet, here she is, the Rising Bamboo, with the shoot of another language in her mouth that finds its existence in all the ideas and turns of phrase she dreams up. Where is she from, you ask?
