Trained as a scientist and a musician, worked 37 different jobs in just 23 years, retired early due to a disability, trying to accept the fact that I will never be able to work in my preferred field again. Trying to transition into a less physically demanding job, one that uses more brains than brawn, but having trouble getting hired because I've been laid off so many times and spent two years on disability. Using some of my new-found free time to write for Reedsy as well as working on a couple of personal writing projects that will be considerably longer - either novels or some kind of series. Keeping the mind active, focusing the part of the brain that likes to stay busy so the rest of the brain can figure out what to do next. I've lived all over the USA, spent 35 years bouncing like a gypsy. Settled in northern Maine now.
