I am an 80 year old former Federal Government employee and enjoy reading short stories and writing some. I belong to a Literary Shorts group that meets once a week to share short stories and discuss them. I am married with 3 grown sons, 5 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. This is the first short story I have submitted to a contest and I wish me "Good Luck."
