Hello! My name is Anthony Bennion.
Since childhood, I have been writing stories that I don't finish. Sometimes they just collect dust and sit on my to-do list forever, and other times I convince myself I am incapable of finishing them well. This mindset, along with an lack of motivation, has been a long-standing obstacle in pursuing my dream of becoming a publish writer. Instead of building a consistent writing habit, I have often pursued other hobbies and distractions that, while engaging and fun, haven't helped me realize that dream.
To combat my internal couch potato, I decided to compete in the weekly writing contests and work on finishing stories. So far, it has been a rewarding challenge. I am grateful for the opportunity to stretch my proverbial wings and start flying towards my goal of eventually publishing a book—hopefully more than one. I'll try not to fly too close to the sun; I don't want to let pride get in the way of staying grounded in reality.
